Ashraf Ali L ast year I happened to visit Alleppey and Alleppey became my favourite as soon as I got there. The atmosphere was rather regular. Here no one appeared to be in a hurry or amazed by the arresting beauty of the Backwater of Alleppey. Every now and then you float through a sleepy village and I was in a public ferry surrounded by bunch of locals who were heading back from a main land Alleppey with all the ration. There life seemed very calm with most of the town folks seemingly busy in the traditional craft of boat making and harvesting rice in the fields. The floating Engine in Alleppey Backwater never appeared to withdraw from there continuous movement. They move about places hours and hours and days on end.                                                         Follow me on Instagram
